Every link now comes with a transcript and captions
Most of the links you send get opened on a phone. A lot of them get opened somewhere the sound is off: a train, a meeting, a quiet office, a bed with someone asleep next to it. Until now, that viewer saw you talking and heard nothing.
So every Blazing Video link now carries the words. Viewers get a transcript beside the video and captions in the player, and you don’t have to do anything to get them.
Captions, on by default where they matter
The player shows a line or two at a time, broken where you naturally pause, at the end of a sentence or at a comma. The word you’re saying lights up as you say it. Captions sit just above the controls while they show and drop down when they hide, so they never cover the scrub bar.
- On by default on phones and tablets, and whenever a viewer mutes.
- One tap to change it. The CC button (or the C key) toggles them, and the page remembers the choice.
- iPhone fullscreen too. When the video goes fullscreen in the system player, the same lines come along as a proper caption track.
- In embeds. Paste a link into Notion, Linear or WordPress and the inline player has captions as well, which matters there since embedded videos are often played muted.
A transcript you can click
On a wider screen the transcript sits beside the player, exactly as tall as the video. It’s split into paragraphs wherever you paused, each with a timestamp, and it follows along as the video plays. Click any word to jump straight there. Scroll away to read ahead and a “Back to now” button takes you back to where the video is.
It’s handy for the people you send links to. They can skim a five-minute walkthrough in thirty seconds, find the bit about the bug, click it and watch only that. Next to the title there’s a 1×, 1.5× and 2× switch for people who’d rather listen faster than read.
Always the cut that plays
Blazing Video lets you edit after you share: delete words, cut fillers, tighten pauses, and the link you already sent plays the new cut. The transcript keeps up. Each cut uploads its own words on its own clock, and the page only shows a transcript when it belongs to the version that’s playing. Cut a sentence and it disappears from the captions and the transcript too.
Nothing new to turn on
Your Mac already transcribes every take, on the Neural Engine, in under half a second after you stop. That transcript is what you edit with. Now the link carries it as well, so there’s no separate captioning step, no upload to a captioning service and no waiting. If a link is set to “Only me”, its transcript is private like everything else about it, and deleting a link deletes its transcript with it.
Try it
Press ⌥⇧R, say something, press it again. Open the link on your phone with the sound off.
