Blazing Video is a native Mac app for quick screen-and-face videos. Press ⌥⇧R, talk, press it again: the link is already on your clipboard and plays about 1.6 seconds later. Edit by deleting words, or let your own Claude do it.
A recorder that gets out of the way. Fast to start, fast to share, and edited like a doc.
01 · Speed
Rolling in 0.3 s. Playing 1.6 s after you stop.
Press ⌥⇧R anywhere and it’s recording in about a third of a second. The video uploads while you talk, so when you stop there’s almost nothing left to send: the link on your clipboard plays about 1.6 s later.
02 · Edit by text
Delete words. The video follows.
Every word in the transcript is timed, so you cut by striking text: false starts, a tangent, the “ok, stop” at the end. Cut fillers and tighten pauses in one go. Update, and the link you already sent plays the new cut.
03 · Your Claude edits it
Say what you want. Claude makes the cuts.
Blazing Video has an MCP server built in. In Claude Code or the Claude app, say “cut the ums, tighten the pauses and share it”. It runs on your existing Pro or Max plan: no API key, nothing extra to pay. Set it up.
04 · On-device
Your words are transcribed on your Mac.
Transcription runs on the Neural Engine (Parakeet), ready a fraction of a second after you stop. Recording and editing stay on your Mac; a video is uploaded only to make a share link, and you can delete it any time.

You need a finished product today. Blazing Video is a private beta: things will change.
How it works
Three steps. The first two are the same key.
1
Press ⌥⇧R. Talk.
Screen, camera and mic start recording in about 0.3 s. Pick a camera layout and a studio background if you want a look.
2
Press it again.
The link is already on your clipboard and plays about 1.6 s later. The transcript is ready in under half a second, made on your Mac.
3
Tidy it up, if you like.
Delete words, cut fillers, tighten pauses, trim, or ask Claude to do it. Update, and the same link plays the new cut.
FAQ
Switching from Loom? The short answers.
Is it free?
Yes, while Blazing Video is in private beta. During the beta each account can keep up to 50 share links and 10 GB of video.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. Blazing Video is a native Mac app (macOS 15 or later), which is a big part of why it’s fast. If you need to record on Windows, it isn’t for you yet.
Do I need Claude?
No. Recording, editing by transcript and share links all work on their own. If you use Claude Code or the Claude app, connect it once and Claude can record, edit and share for you on your existing Pro or Max plan, with no API key.
Where are my recordings stored?
On your Mac. Transcription and editing happen there too. A video is uploaded only to make a share link; it then lives in Blazing Video’s storage until you delete it from your library.
Can I edit a video after I’ve shared the link?
Yes. Edit it and update: the link stays the same, so anyone who opens the link you already sent gets the newest cut.
Can I import my Loom videos?
There’s no bulk import from Loom. If you have a video as an .mp4 file, you can hand it to Claude: the open_take tool imports it into the Blazing Video editor and understand_video reads its transcript and key frames. One file at a time. See the MCP tools.
Who can watch my links?
Anyone you give an unlisted link to. Links are long, unguessable and not listed anywhere. Set a link to “Only me” to keep it private, and delete any link from your library to stop it playing.
Press it once. Talk. Press it again. The link is on your clipboard and it plays.
